My New Baby...

A priced race horse needs a good jockey to guide its way to the finish line first, leaving others tailing… A barista needs a fair coffee maker to brew the finest servings of caffeine goodness… A pianist needs a fine grand piano for the playing of every note precisely to musically engineer a masterpiece…

Well, all this fall to the same universal theory – one needs the essential instruments to succeed. Frankly, I like this sentence very much…
Have you heard of the phrase ‘ a good basketball player needs a good ball’? LOL… ( Please forgive the lame pun.) I’m not really a ‘good’ basketball player, BUT my ball is in a bad shape at the moment…

Ask an experienced basketball player what they need in their ball, and they will list everything down for you from the physical and geometrical aspects, to its ‘post-shot feel’… Generally, I need a ball with perfect grip, good balance and most important of all, endurance… A ball that can endure long hours of wear and tear basically lasts longer, which means it’s perfectly friendly to my wallet and I don’t have to go around ‘ball hunting’ that often…

My current ball has lost all its grip and it’s not fully spherical anymore courtesy of the few hooligans who have viciously raped the life out of it…( I’m not talking about my friends in INTI, definitely not you guys, you people play good basketball. I’m talking about the idiots who play in my taman!) So…

Introducing my new baby, the Nike Pure Grip… It has very good grip, it’s soft, and it has a full outdoor synthetic coating… It’s definitely tough since it’s the official game ball for outdoor competitions in AND 1… BUT, it’s not cheap! This thing is RM139.90 and my wallet took a serious dent…( More than a dent, looks like it got drilled inside out!) A high price for a not-so-rich person…

That’s it folks, will talk about it later when I get to use it on the courts… Can’t wait! See Ya…
